Siberia - How to Safely Choose a Movie Download Service

Best friends Hugo and Goof set up a scam picking up female backpackers newly arrived in Amsterdam. They sleep with them, rob them, and then tear a page out of their passports to keep as a souvenir, since the boys’ goal is to take a trip around the world from within Amsterdam. Their set-up is quickly threatened when seasoned traveler Lara enters the fray. Appropriately named, Goof immediately falls in love with her and becomes obsessed with the idea of taking her to Siberia to see the country of her childhood. Now that the rules of the game have changed between Hugo and Goof, life becomes very complicated for everyone involved in this fast-paced caper of who’s hustling who?

Wow! I really loved the movie Siberia. The movie is absolutely stunning with top-notch graphics and visuals while Roeland Fernhout deliver some award-winning performances in this movie.

I also think Hugo Metsers (II) was great! The visuals and graphics make for some very realistic on screen special-effects but that is the beauty of the movie.When the movie wants to be funny it is funny, the same is true for when the movie needs to deliver its scary aspects.

Judy, Frank & Dean - Once in a Lifetime Review! Watch Online!

The title might be a trifle grand for what is essentially a one-hour 1962 TV special–that’s been colorized, yet. But Judy Garland is in fine voice, belting out signature tunes like “When You’re Smiling” and “The Man That Got Away.” Rat Packers Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin are at their unctuous best, with Sinatra at one point casually flicking ash from his cigarette right onto the stage while singing an emotional “I See Your Face Before Me.” The patter among the three stars is a bit stiff, but the numbers are all showstoppers, and Garland, especially, is belting in her most over-the-top Carnegie Hall tradition. Her finale, a medley of “Swanee,” “Rock-a-bye Your Baby” and “San Francisco” still brings down the house 40 years later. (Trivia alert: the special was directed by a pre-Moonstruck Norman Jewison.) –Anne Hurley

So Bel Canto Society is doing us a real favour in making so much old (and not so old) film and TV footage readily available.

“Don Pasquale is a gem. A 1955 Italian TV film with a cast which has rarely been equalled. Italo Tajo is an ideal Pasquale, firm of voice, histrionically hilarious but never going over the top; Sesto Bruscantini is a marvellous Malatesta, more human than this character is usually made; and these two great buffos seem to have more facial muscles between them than the rest of us put together. Their duet (without reprise) is a tour de force. Alda Noni has exactly the right mix of acid and humour for Norina and Cesare Valletti is a likeable, believable Ernesto. There has not been a better sung Don Pasquale; and both sound and vision are quite good in this edition. Alberto Erede conducts sensitively, opening some traditional cuts (the tenor caballetta is still out.)”

Summary of Sweet and Lowdown:

Woody Allen makes beautiful music but only fitful comedy with his story of “the second greatest guitar player in the world.” Sean Penn plays Emmett Ray, an irresponsible, womanizing swing guitar player in Depression-era America who is guided by an ego almost as large as his talent. “I’m an artist, a truly great artist,” he proclaims time and time again, and when he plays, soaring into a blissed-out world of pure melodic beauty, he proves it. Samantha Morton almost steals the film as his mute girlfriend Hattie, a sweet Chaplinesque waif who loves him unconditionally, and Uma Thurman brings haughty moxie to her role as a slumming socialite and aspiring writer who’s forever analyzing Emmett’s peculiarities (like taking his dates to shoot rats at the city dump). The vignettelike tales are interspersed with comments by jazz aficionados and critics, but this is less a Zelig-like mockumentary than an extension of the self-absorbed portraits of Deconstructing Harry and Celebrity. The lazy pace drags at times and the script runs dry between comic centerpieces–the film screams for more of Allen’s playful invention–but there’s a bittersweet tenderness and an affecting vulnerability that is missing from his other recent work. Shot by Zhao Fei (The Emperor and the Assassin, Raise the Red Lantern), it’s one of Allen’s most gorgeous and colorful films in years, buoyed by toe-tapping music and Penn’s gruffly charming performance. –Sean Axmaker
