Holes, and no nasty knocks or dents either, (just a couple of little dents and bruises on the side edge of the case, honestly nothing bad see photos, and they would probably push out qiute easily), but most importantly the faces front and back are very clean. The hinged lid works perfectly and opens and closes properly, (no splits or repairs around the hinge which is a common problem on these).
