Summary of R&B Chick:

A young aspiring singer named Sterling (Christina Johnson) moves from Mississippi to Los Angeles in pursuit of her long time dream of becoming an R&B singer. Arriving in Los Angeles with nothing more than her suitcase and a dream, she is forced to sleep in her car. A chance meeting with an up and coming music producer, Nate (Dylan Mooney), opens the door to real possibilities. Sterling begins work with the producer and befriends his girlfriend Freesia (Yvette Saunders). While her professional life seems to be taking an upswing, so does her personal life in the big city. Sterling begins to date a young handsome R&B singer, frequenting industry parties and soon marries. Meanwhile, she strikes a lucrative record deal and is truly realizing her dream. Just weeks later, while working late in the studio with Nate, Sterling finds herself the target of attempted rape. Nate unleashes his pent up desires for Sterling in a violent episode. This experience changes the young aspiring songstress, which causes a spiritual awakening in her that soon inspires her to move toward singing for God.

Summary of Blue Juice:

Wax up your boards and hang 10 (or whatever) where the big waves come crashing in: off the English coast at Cornwall. Huh? No endless summer? No two girls for every boy? No, but in Blue Juice one can see what most of us probably never even thought about: the British Isles are indeed islands and, not incongruously, there’s a considerable surfing culture with a handful of homegrown legends. One of the latter is JC (Sean Pertwee), a skilled surfer so driven by the challenge and so dedicated to his mates that it threatens his meandering romance with the long-suffering Chloe (Catherine Zeta-Jones). The two have planned an extensive, around-the-world trip as a kind of prelude to discussing marriage, but the arrangement is threatened when three of JC’s old childhood chums arrive from London. One of them (played by Steven Mackintosh) is a famous record producer who has sold his soul (in every sense) to reap profits from fashionable electronica. Another (Ewan McGregor) is a chronic screwup resorting to hustling junk to unsuspecting customers. The last (Peter Gunn) is an anxious sort terrified of marrying his longtime girlfriend. Together, these four guys look like a pack of nowhere men and they know it: while the story largely focuses on JC and Chloe, there’s plenty of material for the supporting characters to indulge in mucho self-loathing. The film never quite jumps off the screen and the script may be hampered by too many layers of character eccentricity, but this is still an enjoyable piece with some fine comic performances. –Tom Keogh

Summary of Natural Born Killers:

Oliver Stone would like to have the last word on America’s media culture of voyeurism and violence, but whatever he’s trying to say in this grisly, unconventional movie comes across terribly garbled. Woody Harrelson and Juliette Lewis play traveling serial killers who become television celebrities when a Geraldo-like personality (Robert Downey Jr.) turns their madness into the biggest story in the country. Stone extensively rewrote an original script by Quentin Tarantino, and he employs a mosaic of different film stocks, video, and pop pastiches to create a sense of blurred lines between visual phenomena. (The background on Lewis’s character’s life as an abused child, for instance, is presented as a sitcom starring Rodney Dangerfield.) But the result of these experiments is a pompous, even amateurish effort at grasping the reins of a real-life national debate. One almost wants to tell Stone to sit down and raise his hand next time if he thinks he has something to say. The controversial director would like Natural Born Killers to be nothing less than a monumental achievement, but it’s one of the emptier entries in his filmography. –Tom Keogh

Wow! I really loved the movie Cardcaptors - Times of Need. The movie is absolutely stunning with top-notch graphics and visuals while Carly McKillip deliver some award winning performances in this movie.

I also think Rhys Huber was cool! The visuals and graphics make for some very realistic on screen special-effects but that is the beauty of the movie.When the movie wants to be funny it is funny, the same is true for when the movie needs to deliver its scary aspects.

I think Carly McKillip and Rhys Huber worked wonderful in Cardcaptors - Times of Need. The superstar supporting cast includes Carly McKillip, Rhys Huber, Maggie Blue O’Hara, Matt Hill, Tony Sampson.
