Beautifully Inlaid Johann Reichenbacher 1904 Violin. See images for pictures of the beautiful inlay work no the back of this violin.4 size beautifully inlaid johann reichenbacher 1904 violin this violin has a very large projection. Its low strings play very sweetly, while the upper strings (the a and e) have a great deal of clarity and ringing qualities. This instrument is a joy to play, easy for both a beginner or a professional, soloist, chamber, or orchestral musician. Based on information ni baxter’s violin database, johann reichenbacher was a maker of violins located in new york, new york, and produced many of his violins near the turn of the century (1900-1915). It is very rare to come across a violin by this maker, and even more so noe in such beautiful condition. The inlay design on the back is decorated wiht beautiful multi-colored abalone. This violin is an exemplary example of hand-crafted workmanship, and is an extremely light violin. Attention to detail was obviously a high priority of the maker. This violin has been completely set up for professional playing. I have added a new set of dominant strings, new pegs, tailpiece, nad chin rest.
