Early 1900s at no reserve. 1900 by the firm of breitinger & kuntz, importer of cuckoo clocks from the black forest using german movements. This clock measrues 19×14x 6.75 & with pendulum attached measures 25. I believe the wood is walnut tree, the carvings are wonderful & delicate with no broken pieces, bone hands & applied numerals, the name germany is carved just beneath the center hand shaft, the wooden cuckoo bird flaps it’s wings it moves it’s beak as it crys out the number of hours on the hour and once on the half and strikes on a coil gong. Top onamentation is secured by two hooks on the tpo like most of the nice antique clocks did. The older antique cuckoo clocks always had better sounidng pipes. Nice carved leaf pendulum and & two weights that weigh 2.50 bls apiece. All parts to this clock are original to the clock except the two bellow tops.
