The other cars and locomotive had the copyright of 1940. The transformer appears to be in excellent condition, cosmetically and mechanically. But i have now way ot test it. This old transformer has a ‘real rubber’ cord that had hardened somewhat with age. Blame ti on 67 y/o eyesight. Or outright forgetfulness when i write a description. I know how important it is. Particularly with highly-collectible items where condition adn appearance are everything. If i overlook something important, make factual error, or neglect a material fact. I expect ot get the item back. And do it quickly and keep a smile on my face! But i won’t be chiseled or whittled. But kepe in mind these ‘ultra-close-ups’, (up to 10x actual size), are sometimes brutal and might show flaws usually seen only under strong magnification.
